Climate scientists now admit - no warming from 1999 - surprised?

Yes, I was quite surprised at the candor of Phil Jones and now apparently others. They are apparently not idiots yet sang a different tune before Climategate. There was obviously a culture of not giving the "deniers" ammunition or apparently presenting data in ways that didn't contradict their umptions. It is extremely poor science and is advocacy. Considering all the billions of dollars at stake and people's lives being disrupted, they need to be held accountable because they knowingly distorted the data to further their agenda. It also enriched them personally since nobody could argue that their funding and prestige is much greater if there is a perceived crisis. I am not at all surprised that alarmists continue to distort the record even after leading alarmist scientists set the record straight. Hopefully, their days of spinning lies that are echoed by the mainstream press are numbered. That won't happen until some of the alarmists are made to pay a legal and political price for their deceptive practices. I suspect the political damage is already done but they are only beginning to feel it. This is probably just damage control or some scientists engaging in a little CYA..
