Does Anyone Know If Karate Will Be An Olympic Sport In the 2012 Olympics?

I know that people were discussing making it an Olympic sport and I know that it is recognized but, have they decided yet? I mean they have Taekwondo....Why not karate? Or better yet combine the 2 and call it Kickboxing??
