Home remedies for head lice

seems my little girl caught a nasty case of head lice...ewww....ok.....i have tried the nix and all that junk in the store...even bought the "robocomb" for lice...nothing is keeping these critters away..i have washed everything, sprayed everything,,,,,,anyone have home remedies....ive tried mayo....tried shaving cream....anything else???? tks
