Best place to live in Arlington, VA?

Pentagon City is probably the best bet, lots of shopping and convenience but it doesn't draw the late night crowd like other parts of Arlington. Any of the high rises or lofts adjacent to the mall and park are a good bet, there is a walkable grocery store and Costo and pentagon city metro is right there.
